Timothy C. Davis

Our Managing Director

Davis joined FreshTracks as a Managing Director in July of 2005. Prior to that, Tim managed a series of early-stage, technology based advanced materials companies to successful exits. The companies were in various high-tech industries, including electronic materials, fiber optics, advanced ceramics and vacuum deposition including Surmet Corp, Saphikon Inc, Performance Materials Inc., Aster Corporation and Millis Corporation.

Mr. Davis currently serves on the SolarOne Board and is an observer to the Auterra (FKA Applied NanoWorks) Board.  Tim was also previously an Observer at Draker Energy. Mr. Davis also served on the Boards of Solais (successfully acquired by PowerSecure, NASDAQ: POWR) and NEHP(successfully acquired by Sequel Industrial Product Holdings) prior to those exits.

Tim is also active with numerous non-profit boards, including his roles as founding partner of Social Venture Partners in Boston, former President of the Artworks Education Foundation and  various boards of the Congregational Church in Cohasset. Here in Vermont, Tim serves on the Board of ECHO, and also joined the board of University of Vermont Medical Center in 2011. Davis graduated from the University of Vermont (1968) and Harvard Business School (MBA, 1970).

Tim and his wife Susan have a son who graduated from Middlebury College and a daughter who graduated from Princeton University. Tim splits his time between residences in Colchester, VT and Cohasset, MA.
